Dan Wise - Founder & CEO
Since the age of 14, Dan has been an entrepreneur, with a focus on consumer product closeouts and technology. As a teenager, Dan would buy out obsolete first quality samples from showroom shelves and sell them at Flea Markets on the weekends. He later discovered it was less time consuming and more lucrative to wholesale larger volumes of merchandise to off-price retailers.
In 1995, Dan moved to New York City to continue his career in closeouts at UniTrade Marketing Group. After gaining valuable market experience there from some really great guys, they sadly parted ways and Dan founded the first online b2b marketplace for excess inventories, LiquidXS.com - a company dedicated to creating more liquidity for the traditionally fragmented closeout marketplace.
In 2008, Dan relocated to Montreal, Canada where he founded CroJack, a fresh, new and highly relevant approach to buying and selling closeouts.
Steve Rubin - Business Development
With over 30 years of experience in the toy industry, Steve has been instrumental in driving tremendous growth, covering a multitude of brands with virtually all major retailers in Canada. He began his career at Hasbro in Marketing and shifted to Sales early on, when that opportunity presented itself.
Steve has led teams to perform at the highest levels, occupying roles as V.P. Sales/New Business Development and V.P. Customer Strategic Marketing. During most of his career, he has also been responsible for managing excess inventory sales.
His ability to work closely with customers to drive mutually beneficial programs has always been evident, as has his positive attitude. Steve is adept at recognizing issues and developing creative solutions to resolve them. This has contributed to his outstanding reputation in the toy industry.
