Since the age of 14, Dan has been an entrepreneur, with a focus on consumer product closeouts and technology. As a teenager, Dan would buy out obsolete first quality samples from showroom shelves and sell them at Flea Markets on the weekends. He later discovered it was less time consuming and more lucrative to wholesale larger volumes of merchandise to off-price retailers.
In 1995, Dan continued in the closeout wholesale genre, working for a division of United Overseas Group PLC, UniTrade Marketing Group, in New York City. After gaining valuable market experience there from some really great guys, they sadly parted ways and Dan founded the first online b2b marketplace for excess inventories, LiquidXS.com - a company dedicated to creating more liquidity for the traditionally fragmented closeout marketplace.
In 2008, Dan relocated to Montreal, Canada where he founded CroJack, a fresh, new and highly relevant approach to buying and selling closeouts.
Scott's professional career started as a teen working for local toy manufacturer Ritvik (now a divison of Mattel Inc.) in its distribution facilities. Passionate about school while working full-time in the toy industry proved challenging yet he persevered in both endeavours successfully through hard-work, dedication and plenty of passion.
After managing several core divisions such as Customer service, Retail merchandising, Consumer marketing, Trade marketing and Sales, Scott left the company in 2014 to start his own full-service sales agency. Since that time, Scott has become and integral part of our team and manages our inline distribution division for some of the largest toy companies in the world.
For over 20 years, Scott's creative, personable and results-oriented style has solidified his reputation in the global toy industry as someone who can be trusted to deliver at the highest level. Scott treats customers and suppliers like family and prides himself on over-delivering on a daily-basis.
Melody has over 15 years of CPG industry experience in sales, marketing and product development roles. Throughout her career she has demonstrated success wearing different hats, not only in sales and marketing but also in sourcing, brand building, licensing and customer relations. She has extensive experience developing and managing national accounts and buyer relationships. Melody will manage and lead our US inline distribution and closeout business by day, while continuing to be a super-mom to Anabelle, Emilia and Abram by night.
Alex began his career as a marketing coordinator at Imports Dragon, a Canadian based toy manufacturer and distributor. After monkeying around with kids as a Trash Pack Mascot and building the bases of ID's online marketing, Alex took on the role of Account Manager, tendering to key brick and mortar accounts as well as major online retail accounts.
Avid sports fan and connoisseur, Alex was then promoted to Brand Manager for the newly acquired sports licences for MLB and NHL collectible figures. Alex overlooked production, marketing and sales while maintaining compliance across all license agreements.
Whether it be through strengthening partnerships with licensors or keeping a close knit with customers, Alex is all about maintaining a longterm and mutually beneficial relationship with his partners.
Alissa began her career marketing global brands at Glaxo Consumer Healthcare and Nestle Foods in Toronto. After a decade of helping consumers whiten teeth with Aquafresh, minimize cold symptoms with Contac C and making Nescafe coffee with French vanilla at home, Alissa moved to Montreal.
In Montreal, Alissa joined the Aeroplan rewards team for 7 years and increased member redemptions with a new merchandise reward store, promotions and 'miles back' bonus offers. Alissa also worked with travel rewards, launching online redemptions for car, hotel and cruise rewards.
After Aeroplan, Alissa worked on short-term marketing and sales projects with Montreal entrepreneurs. She built a network in the local food and gift businesses, and met the Crojack team, subsequently joining Crojack to manage new Canadian accounts. She brings the Crojack family a burst of energy and creativity and is an insightful strategic thinker.
